Natural Law Party Leaders Continue Coalition Building

On February 18 in Alexandria, Virginia, Natural Law Party leaders from around the country met with Reform activists and leaders to discuss options for a more formal coalition. The meeting represented an important step forward in building a collaborative effort and broadening the support base for the coalition.

Natural Law Party participants at the event included Co-Chairs Kingsley and Leslie Brooks, Vice-Chair Tom Stanley, North Carolina chair Cathy Carter, outgoing Virginia chair Sarina Grosswald, and newly selected Virginia chair Patrick Davenport.

In addition, on February 24 Kingsley Brooks met with Jeff Peters, chairman of "We the People," a national organization dedicated to the preservation of democratic principles in U.S. elections. Mr. Peters was very supportive of a new third-party coalition and was enthusiastic about exploring ways his organization could help such a coalition move forward.

We hope you will continue to support the Natural Law Party as it builds on all the successes of the 2000 campaign and continues to structure a political coalition that can challenge the Republicans and Democrats in 2002 and 2004.
